Matthew Carmona discusses in his blog the draft of the English National Planning Policy framework (NPPF) that was launched on the 5th March 2018. He argues that NPPF’s paragraphs on design remained largely intact. Since the early 1990s, Matthew has been writing pieces on the various incarnations of national design policy (currently contained in the NPPF), and in that time, very little has really changed.
