A provocative piece by Louise Dredge of The Glass-house Community-Led Design on the impact of places on people’s health and well-being, published in the TCPA Journal (2014). It draws on their work on supporting community participation in place-based projects, to make that case that ‘crap places’ do indeed ruin lives and substantiate that “participation in the processes of making, creating and improving our surroundings can improve individuals’ health and help to deliver healthy places”.
